Make Exercise Your New Year’s Resolution
With 2015 just around the corner, it could be time to start thinking of positive changes that we could be making to our lives. Making new year’s resolutions aren’t anything new, but all too often we make resolutions that we can’t keep.
Rather than going all out with resolutions this year, why not just aim to add a little more exercise into your life? We all know that getting our bodies moving is a great way to improve our health. Unfortunately, many of us don’t exercise enough. So make 2015 the year that you introduce exercise and perhaps some new sports into your life.

Taking Things Step By Step
The important thing to remember is that you shouldn’t push yourself too hard. If you are quite unfit or if you haven’t exercised for a while then seek medical advice first. On top of that you should bear in mind that small changes can make all of the difference.
Simply getting your body moving by walking more can be enough. So get off the bus a few stops early or take the stairs rather than jumping in the elevator. It might not make a massive difference but it is better than doing nothing at all.
Starting Up A Gym Regime
If you want to take your exercise regime a bit more seriously then you could join a gym. This could be to make use of their gym equipment or you could just join in some of their classes.
When you first sign up try to get in with an introductory session with a personal trainer, most gyms offer this. This will allow you to get to grips with what equipment the gym has and what you should be using. Joining a gym for the first time can seem a bit daunting, so getting some help can be massively beneficial.

Trying New Sports
To keep things interesting you could look at trying some sort of new sport instead. This could be something as simple as cycling or something as extreme as mountain hiking; the choice is yours. The trick is to do a little reading on what your options are and see what takes your fancy.
Make sure you try the new sport you are interested in before you start rushing out to buy too many accessories. The last thing you want to do is spend money on items like custom bicycle jersey tops and running shoes if you don’t need them. Rather than discover a few sessions in that you don’t really like it as much as you thought you did try out the sport first!
Keeping It Up
New year’s resolutions are so easy to drop, but this will make such a positive difference to your life if you keep it up. The best way to do this is to keep things interesting and varied. Rather than doing the same thing day in day out, if you try new things it keeps things fun. When you are doing something new and different you stand more chance of being able to keep it up.
